In-Between & Outside

In January of 2012, I began my physical transition and started taking testosterone. Shortly after, I met photographer and now friend, Sara Swaty. Over the course of the last six years, she has captured parts of my physical transition. These photos are a part of her project In-Between & Outside.

“In Between & Outside explores gender identity and the physical body across a broad spectrum of individuals, whether they be gay, straight, transgender, or anywhere in between and outside, by referencing how cultural preconceptions about gender have created unattainable ideals about masculinity and femininity. “
